The Samsung Galaxy A51 in India is said to have begun getting its One UI 3.0 update based on Android 11. Earlier this month, the update began rolling out in Russia and appears to have now found its way to the Indian market. For the Samsung Galaxy A51, the Android 11 update comes with build number A515FXXU4DUB1 and also brings the latest security patch for February 2021.
The Samsung Galaxy A51 was launched with Android 10 in India in January 2020 and is the newest handset to receive Android 11 in the Samsung lineup.
At the beginning of February, the Samsung Galaxy A51 in Russia began receiving its One UI 3.0 upgrade based on Android 11. Today, the Indian model of the Samsung Galaxy A51 has begun to receive the Android 11 update bearing the firmware version A515FXXU4DUB1 according to a screenshot posted by a user on Twitter.
One-time permissions, dedicated conversations in the alerts area, chat bubbles, dedicated media playback widget, and more are some of the features present in the Android 11 update. It is also said to offer new UI interface, Dark Mode, Digital Health, Parental Controls, and more.
If you haven’t got a Samsung Galaxy A51 email, go to Settings > Device Updates > Check for System Updates and you’ll see it there. If not, you can wait a couple of days before the update hits you.
In providing Android 11-based One UI 3.0 updates to not only its flagships, but also mid-tier models, Samsung has been very successful. Last week, the Samsung Galaxy M31s and the Samsung Galaxy A71 were updated.
The Samsung Galaxy S20 FE got the update before that, after it was received by the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite at the end of January. Any of the other Android 11 phones include the Samsung Galaxy M21, the Samsung Galaxy F41 and the Samsung Galaxy S10 series.
