The PUBG Lite PC game has been formally discontinued by PUBG. With much deliberation, this was accomplished on April 29th, 2021. The decision to shut down the service was tough, according to the group. Most countries, including China, Afghanistan, Nepal, Jordan, and India, have announced that the game is banned.
In a statement PUBG Lite said:
WE ARE DEEPLY GRATEFUL FOR THE PASSION AND SUPPORT FROM THE ASTOUNDING NUMBER OF PUBG LITE FANS THAT HAVE BEEN WITH US. DURING THE STRENUOUS TIMES OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, WE HOPE THAT PUBG LITE WAS ABLE TO PROVIDE OUR FANS A FUN WAY TO STAY SAFE.
UNFORTUNATELY, WE HAVE MADE THE DIFFICULT DECISION TO CLOSE SERVICE AFTER MUCH DELIBERATION AND THE TIME HAS COME FOR OUR JOURNEY TO END. WE REGRETFULLY INFORM YOU THAT SERVICE OF PUBG LITE IS SCHEDULED TO END ON APRIL 29TH, 2021 (UTC)
The corporation previously shut down the lite.pubg.com website on March 29th. However, beginning May 29th, player support for LITE will be unavailable.
After the Indian government suspended 118 smartphone applications, including the famous game PUBG Mobile, the company shut down PUBG Mobile and PUBG Mobile Lite on October 30th. It announced in November that PUBG MOBILE INDIA, a new game developed specifically for the Indian market, would be released, but this did not happen.
The makers of PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS PC and Console game, KRAFTON, Inc. and PUBG Studio, released PUBG: NEW STATE, a new battle royale mobile game in February in many countries, but it did not open registration in India.
