In H2 2021, a Samsung Galaxy A22 4G variant with the model number SM-A225F could be launched.

According to reports, a Samsung Galaxy A22 4G version may be released in the second half of this year. The Galaxy A22 5G is supposed to be the company’s more affordable 5G handset, although it appears that there will also be a 4G version, which may be released in H2 2021. There is no official information on the features or architecture of the Galaxy A22 4G, which may have the model number SM-A225F.

Samsung hasn’t said much about the Galaxy A22 5G or 4G variants. However, the company officially trademarked several Galaxy A-series phones, including the Galaxy A22, in January 2020. Back in December last year, it was reported that the Galaxy A22 5G will be launched in the second half of 2021. Now, a new report by Galaxy Club states there will be a 4G variant of the phone as well. While the report states the 5G variant of the phone will carry model number SM-A225F, a separate report by SamMobile states the 5G variant will have model number SM-A226B while the 4G variant will have the model number SM-A225F.

According to the report, the Galaxy A22’s 4G version will be sold in some European regions.

The rumored Galaxy A22 5G is supposed to be Samsung’s cheapest 5G handset, replacing the Galaxy A32 5G, which is now the company’s cheapest 5G phone. The Galaxy A32 already has a 4G version, and Samsung seems to have similar plans for the Galaxy A22. The Galaxy A22 5G’s color choices were recently leaked, and the handset is expected to come in Grey, Light Green, Purple, and White. It could be released with two RAM and disk configurations.
